Stellantis Media Site University of Windsor / FCA Canada Automotive Research and Development CentreEngine Cooling Systems Laboratory Contact: LouAnn  Gosselin University of Windsor / FCA Canada Automotive Research and Development CentreEngine Cooling Systems Laboratory The 70-square-metre Engine Cooling Systems Laboratory was established at the Automotive Research and Development Centre (ARDC) in 2015.    The laboratory is a collaborative effort between the Engine Cooling Systems Product Engineering team and Aero-thermal System Simulation team.     The purpose of the laboratory is to evaluate pressure and flow characteristics, across variable cooling system design paths, for multiple vehicle platforms.      Data collected through all plumbing branches and heat exchangers is used to optimize the engine cooling system design prior to vehicle design completion.     In addition, the data collected is also used to develop simulation tools to better predict engine cooling system performance on future programs.
