In addition to providing coast-to-coast coverage in the United States of up to 100 channels, SIRIUS is the only service provider that has 60 channels of commercial-free music. The remaining 40 channels include news, talk, sports, and entertainment. "SIRIUS satellite radio makes driving the all-new Pacifica an experience that's multi-generational, multi-cultural, educational, and entertaining." Organized into 13 categories of music, sports, news and entertainment channels, SIRIUS employs S>Plex technology (statistical multiplexing) which optimizes the fidelity on each channel for superior sound resolution. Listeners may choose from a variety of channels including the Best of the '50s/'60s, '70s, '80s or '90s stations, rock channels, The Weather Channel Radio Network, and comedy channels. In addition, SIRIUS offers five music and five talk channels dedicated to Spanish-speaking programming. Consumers selecting the SIRIUS satellite radio option in their Pacifica will receive a small, mouse-size antenna mounted to the roof of the vehicle. Station selection with the radio is easy, using the same familiar method as selecting an AM or FM station. Consumers will be able to scan channels or select pre-set buttons for their favorite channels. Consumers will also be able to search both by music category and channel, which will be displayed on the radio screen.
