Mark Champine was named head of North America engineering technical centers on July 1, 2022. He had been head of customer experience – North America, having also served as head of quality – FCA North America, before Stellantis was formed in 2021.
 
Champine has extensive experience in propulsion-system engineering, having held leadership roles ranging from electrified powertrain development to driveline quality.
 
He is also executive sponsor of the Stellantis DiverseAbilities Network business resource group (BRG). Stellantis supports 10 employee-driven BRGs dedicated to pursuing projects that enhance the company’s work culture, focusing on networking and mentoring, celebrating multicultural differences and engaging external communities through volunteer and charitable activities.

Champine received his MBA and engineering management master’s degree from the University of Detroit Mercy and his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University.

He was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
