  • $30,000 donation to fund educational outreach programs

Dallas , TX-Playing off the name of one of its newest vehicles - the Chrysler 300C -the Chrysler Group is donating a "300C-Note" - or $30,000 - to The Science Place & TI Founders' IMAX Theater as part of the Chrysler brand's "Premiere Night/Days" celebration.  The money will be used to sponsor educational outreach programs that support the pursuit of math, science, health and technology education.

The check will be presented on April 22 at 6:30 p.m. during "Premiere Night" festivities at Huffines Chrysler/Jeep®/Dodge, located at 4500 Plano Parkway in Plano.  Joe Eberhardt, Executive Vice President - Global Sales, Marketing and Service from the Company's headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich., will be on hand to make the presentation.

The Chrysler 300C is one of the stars of the Hollywood-style  "Premiere Night/Days" event, which celebrates the biggest product offensive in Chrysler Group history.  The Chrysler brand is hosting the first of three branded events on April 22 to provide consumers with a "sneak preview" of the new line of Chrysler vehicles, some on display at dealerships even before they become widely available.  Among the other vehicles that will be on display are the Chrysler Town & Country with Stow n' GoTM seating and storage system, Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible and Chrysler Pacifica.

"In the cities and towns that are home to Chrysler Group offices and dealerships, we strive to be good neighbors," said Eberhardt.  "Through these donations, we hope we can inspire young people to embrace science and math, and possibly pursue careers in the automotive industry."

"The Science Place depends on the generosity of individuals, corporations, foundations and planned gifts to succeed in our mission to create a passion for science through discovery, exploration and life-long learning.  Our thanks to the Chrysler Group for sharing in our mission and for their community support," said Diana Hueter, president and CEO of the Science Place.

More than four million consumers have been invited to the first "Premiere Night" event, being held at more that 2,100 dealerships across the country.  The April 22 event will be followed by two "Premiere Days" of public celebration, when consumers are invited to visit their local participating Chrysler dealer.

The Dodge "Premiere Night" will be held on June 17, and the Jeep "Premiere Night" will take place in the fall.
