July 31, 2013 , Windsor, Ontario - Chrysler Canada today announced its 44th consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth, representing the longest sales streak in the company’s history. July 2013 sales were 26,209 compared with 24,162 vehicles sold in July 2012, which represents an 8 per cent increase.  These results represent the best July in Chrysler Canada’s history.

“July was an exceptionally good month for retail sales throughout the product lineup, in fact it marked the highest July retail sales in our history,” said Dave Buckingham, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Canada.  "It's a great combination right now, the Canadian light vehicle industry is at record levels and we have gained the most sales in Canada."

Passenger car sales at Chrysler Canada are up 20 per cent, compared with sales results from the same period, one year ago. Passenger car results at Chrysler continue to flourish with models now available in virtually every segment of the car market, providing more Canadians with performance, fuel efficiency and style that suits their lifestyle. This is the third consecutive year the Dodge Charger has led its segment in the APEAL Study.

The Windsor-built Dodge Grand Caravan remains one of the Top 5 best-selling vehicles in Canada, from roughly 300 nameplates. Chrysler Town & Country sales continue to be strong, with 776 vehicles sold in July of 2013, compared with 290 sold in July of 2012. This marks an increase of 168 per cent and represents a July sales record. There are several key distinguishing factors that make the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan stand out. They are the most innovative minivans in the class and offer best-in-class horsepower and torque; class-exclusive heated steering wheel, most concealed storage space in the class, class-exclusive tailgate seating system and Industry-exclusive Super Stow ’n Go seating and storage offering 81 interior configurations.

With its iconic design, best-in-class capability, open-air freedom and the ability to go anywhere and do anything, Jeep Wrangler continues to resonate very well with Canadian consumers.  July 2013 marked a sales record for Jeep Wrangler with 2,243 vehicles sold.

Ram truck sales continue to set records, this time by achieving a monthly record for July with 7,854 sales, which is an increase of 21 per cent, compared with 6,515 trucks sold in July of 2012. With 49,082 Ram trucks sold calendar-year-to-date July, up 20 per cent versus the same period last year, Ram is the fastest growing truck brand in Canada. Ram 1500 offers buyers best-in-class 7.8L/100km (36 MPG) highway fuel efficiency, new technology and new features without sacrificing capability.
