Download Print Special Report: FCA Canada 2018 Sales Archive FCA Canada Reports December and Full Year Sales Record for Jeep® Wrangler Windsor, Ontario January 3, 2019 - FCA Canada reported 11,923 vehicles sold for the month of December 2018. The Company continues its strategy of reducing sales to the daily rental segment. For the year, FCA Canada reported total sales of 224,889 vehicles. Ram was the top performer for FCA Canada, with 89,562 sales. Jeep® sold 71,583 vehicles, representing the third-best sales year in the brand's history and a sales increase of 2 per cent compared with the year prior. Jeep Brand Jeep brand reported sales of 4,002 vehicles for the month of December. Leading the charge for the brand was Jeep Wrangler, setting a December record with 1,445 sales, an increase of 38 per cent over December 2017 results. For the calendar year, Jeep Wrangler set a record with 24,615 vehicles sold, up 42 per cent from 2017. Jeep Compass sales of 9,435 vehicles were up 46 per cent for the year. Chrysler Brand Chrysler brand reported 219 sales for the month. For the calendar year, Chrysler brand reported sales of 9,511 vehicles. Dodge Brand Dodge brand reported 2,316 sales for the month. For the calendar year, Dodge brand reported sales of 52,186 vehicles. Dodge Durango full year sales of 6,951 vehicles were up 7 per cent from 2017, while Dodge Challenger sales of 4,918 were up 1 per cent. Ram Truck Brand Ram truck brand reported 5,325 sales for the month. Ram 1500 sales of 4,377 trucks are up 4 per cent for the month, compared with December 2017. Ram ProMaster van sales of 247 vehicles are up 3 per cent over December 2017. For the calendar year, Ram brand reported sales of 89,562 vehicles. Alfa Romeo Brand Alfa Romeo brand reported 43 sales for the month. For the calendar year, there were 1,402 Alfa Romeo brand sales, up 26 per cent from the year prior. Method of Determining Monthly Sales Beginning with the July 2016 sales report, FCA Canada sales numbers have been calculated using a new sales reporting methodology, which is described in more detail in the explanatory note issued on September 1, 2016. Sales by dealers are derived from the New Vehicle Delivery Report, or NVDR system and reported upon the first sale reported in the NVDR system. Under the new reporting methodology, fleet sales are recorded as sales upon shipment by FCA Canada of the vehicle to the customer or end user.
