Statement regarding the Sale of Global Electric Motorcars, LLC (GEM) to Polaris Industries, Inc.

April 25, 2011 Chrysler Group has decided to focus its energies on its core automotive business, which has led to the sale of substantially all of the assets of GEM and NEV to Polaris Industries, Inc. Chrysler Group and Polaris have signed the negotiated Asset Purchase Agreement. Closing is expected in approximately 60 days.

January 6, 2011 Chrysler Group Global Electric Motorcars LLC (GEM), a wholly owned subsidiary of Chrysler Group LLC, recently launched the 2011 GEM vehicle line of battery-electric vehicles. The GEM line is the market leader in the low-speed vehicle industry and more than 45,000 vehicles are on the road worldwide.

January 24, 2010 Chrysler Group LLC’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Global Electric Motorcars (GEM), has reached a milestone in the Low-speed Vehicle (LSV) industry by selling more than 40,000 GEM battery-electric vehicles. The GEM vehicle line is 100 percent electric and emits zero tailpipe emissions. GEM vehicles have been driven almost 500 million emission-free miles, saving more than 19.5 million gallons of gasoline.
