FCA Canada and Unifor Open 2020 Collective Bargaining Talks

August 12, 2020 FCA Canada Head of Human Resources Jacqueline Oliva and Unifor National President Jerry Dias opened 2020 contract talks with a document exchange, during an event today at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto. The ceremony marks the official start of bargaining.

In 1939, a special Chrysler royal convertible sedan was built for the 1939 Royal Tour and thousands were shipped overseas. PLANT FACT SHEET: Etobicoke Casting Plant, Toronto On Aug. 1, 2022, Stellantis announced an investment of $99 million for three North American plants for production of a new 1.6-liter, I-4 turbocharged engine that has both direct fuel injection and flexibility for hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) applications. Nearly $2 million will be invested at Etobicoke to support the development and installation of new tooling and equipment upgrades for production of the oil pan for the engine.

October 19, 2020 FCA Canada confirmed today that its Unifor-represented workforce has ratified a new three-year agreement that builds on the company’s commitment to grow its Canadian manufacturing operations by providing total investments of up to $1.58 billion and creating 2,000 new jobs.
