11/06/2014 - Chrysler Group LLC has been named Company of the Year for 2014 by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). The award recognizes the Company’s innovative approaches and programs to expand opportunities for minority suppliers. Since 1983, the Company has purchased more than $52 billion from minority-owned suppliers.
12/05/2013 - Chrysler Group LLC has received the inaugural Company of the Year Innovation Award for 2013 from the National Minority Supplier Development Council. Chrysler Group received the award for the accomplishments of its High Focus Supplier Program.

02/19/2009 - Chrysler LLC announced today that it spent $3.9 billion with minority suppliers in 2008, representing 16.1 percent of its total annual purchasing. Although Chrysler’s domestic spending declined in 2008 due to unprecedented market conditions, Chrysler’s overall percentage of spend with minority suppliers increased 0.6 percent in 2007.
09/20/2008 - Chrysler LLC celebrated two milestones last week during a Company-sponsored program, hosted by the Global Sourcing department. On Sept. 18, the Chrysler Diversity Supplier Development organization marked the 25th anniversary of its program, and the ninth annual Matchmaker event was held at Chrysler’s global headquarters. John Campi, Chrysler Executive Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer for Global Sourcing, kicked off the event by announcing the formalization of the Company’s women-owned business program, adding this important and influential group to the Diversity Supplier Development series of programs.
03/11/2008 - Chrysler LLC announced today that it spent $4.8 billion with minority suppliers in 2007, representing 15.5 percent of its total purchasing and an increase of $900 million from the previous year. In the last nine years, the Company has increased the amount spent with minority suppliers by 182 percent, from $1.7 billion in 1998 to $4.8 billion in 2007. This significant increase reinforces Chrysler’s long-term commitment to the economic development and growth of its minority suppliers.
12/21/2007 - The Business Consortium Fund (BCF), a non-profit business development arm of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) has named Jethro Joseph, Chrysler LLC Senior Manager - Diversity Supplier Development, as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
01/30/2007 - Chrysler Group announced today that it spent $3.9 billion with minority suppliers in 2006, representing 13.5 percent of its total purchasing and an increase of $150 million from the previous year. In the last eight years, the company has increased the amount spent with minority suppliers by 129 percent, from $1.7 billion in 1998 to $3.9 billion in 2006. This significant increase continues Chrysler Group’s long-term commitment to the economic development and growth of its minority suppliers.
10/12/2006 - Chrysler Group was hailed as the 2006 “Corporation of the Year” by the Canadian Aboriginal Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC). The award, which is the Council’s most prestigious, will be presented to DaimlerChrysler today.
10/05/2006 - For the sixth time in the last seven years, Chrysler Group has been honored as the “Corporation of the Year” by the Michigan Minority Business Development Council (MMBDC). The award, which is the Council’s most prestigious, evaluates all manufacturers on their diversity supplier development programs, and the initiatives the companies implement to help minority suppliers succeed. MMBDC also named Chrysler Group employee Robin A. Hammer Corporate Advocate of the Year.
